Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies was started by Al-Ameen Educational Society. The society is a non-profit educational organization running more than 140 institutions throughout India. The society was started in 1966 by Dr.Mumtaz Ahmed Khan.〔(News The Hindu 6 September 2012 )〕
